5. I’ve recently worked for the Civil Service, am I able to apply to work at Malaria Consortium?

Are you/have you been a member of the Civil Service in the past two years? Before accepting any new appointment or employment, whether in the UK or overseas, which you intend to take up after you have left the Civil Service, you must consider whether an application under the Business Appointment Rules for Civil Servants is required. We are currently unable to consider your application if you’ve submitted your application after the deadline. Please keep looking for other suitable vacancies on our website.

11. What is the process for resetting my password?

If you experience difficulties logging into your account, please click on the ‘reset password’ link. If this does not solve the problem, please try to open the web page in a different web browser or create a new account. As an account holder, you are the only person who can reset your own password.

12. I am having trouble uploading your CV, where can I go to assistance?

If you have difficulties uploading your CV or cover letter, we advise that you use simple, plain text in a Word document, avoiding graphics and too many colours, the maximum file size is 2Mb. 

13. I tried to submit my application on my phone however it won’t upload, what should I do?

Our Application Tracking System does not currently support all mobile devices therefore we advise that you source a computer to submit your CV. 

14. How long will my account stay active for?

Your account will stay active for up to 365 days from the date you last logged in. You will be sent a reminder when your account becomes deactivated and you will have 28 days to request us to re-open the account. If you do not contact us within this timeframe, you will have to create a new account if you want to apply for a role. 

15. Can I apply for vacancies where I don’t meet all the requirements?

We encourage applicants to only apply for vacancies where they meet the requirements sent out in the job description. 

16. If I am unsuccessful in a role, will I receive feedback on my CV/application?

You will receive a notification if your application has not been successful, approximately 3 weeks after the closing date of the advert. Due to high application numbers, we are unable to provide individual feedback on applications. We recommend that your CV matches the ‘desirable’ and ‘essential’ criteria on the Job Description.

20. How can I track the progress of my application?

You are able to log into your account to view the status of your application However we will contact you via email to let you know the next steps in the process if you are successful. You should hear from us within three weeks of the closing date. 

21. I applied for a role but haven’t received a reply, what should I do?

Malaria Consortium tries to respond to applicants within three weeks, however at times we experience extremely high numbers of applications so it can take longer. If you are selected for a test or interview, you will be contacted directly by email. If you do not hear from us within five weeks please assume you have not been shortlisted. We do encourage you to continue applying for other vacancies where you are suitable for the role.
